Excellent book. Large scale maps of central London. Lots of extra information about what to do, what to see, buses and the tube, etc. Easy to use. Points of interest labeled on the maps.
The London Mapguide is the one map I always bring with me to London. Certainly the A to Zed is more comprehensive - but also much more difficult to read when you're on the go. The Mapguide has all the streets, attractions, and points of interest the London traveller could want plus useful info like post offices, tube stations, bus routes, some common shops and hotels. It's not too big to lug around, easy to read, and even has a page on the outlying village of Hampstead. Highly recommended.
Excellent choice for our first trip to Central London. I pondered over ordering the A-Z guide that was recommended...or this one. This choice was better for me. It is a good guide to the tourist areas of London and the best plus is that the map is fairly easy to read...it has the largest print of most guide books I've seen! Some of the other maps type was just too small to read. This book is very compact, as well, which made it easy to store in my purse.
