Love this book!

Buy the preprinted copy. We haven't even left the US and I love this book. I'm the only one in our family group of eight (3 generations) who has been to Italy, and this book finally caught the attention of those who won't read travel books. My kids (ages 10 and 17) have had to wrest it away from their grandmother (who insists that I order one for her friend who is traveling to Italy later in the summer). Packed full of info (history, culture, and fun things to do) for travelers of all ages, this book gives great little "sound bytes" - one topic per page, in an easily digestible format, interspersed with fun activities. It far exceeds my expectations, I was really just expecting a kid's activity book with an Italian theme.

My only caveat - I do agree that younger children would need a lot of parental involvement to fully utilize the book, and 6 may be a bit on the young side to comprehend much of the info.

Don't buy the e-book

I ordered this item, not realizing that it was an e-book. In other words, I had to print it myself, all 168 pages of it. After wasting lots of paper and toner and printing the pages on regular size paper, the "book" became quite thick and bulky. The printing instructions in the "book" were not helpful at all. Despite the book cover, the "book" is not geared to 6 year olds. It's more appropriate for children over the age of 10. Don't buy the e-book.
