A great book to read before the trip

Looking through this travel guide I was amazed my the great amount of high quality picture on various sites in Berlin and Potsdam. I just had to start reading the chapters on history and culture. But I was kind of disappointed by their actual travel sections with their recommendations on travel, hotels and food. Having travel those cities their suggestions seem to be really good insider tips but more of the standard recommendations one can get anywhere. I recommend reading this book before the trip and buy another travel guide to actually take with you
